Counting Down

1stshowC1awebcardfrontAlthough the first show is almost a month away (August 15th), things are coming together swiftly. Yesterday, Wes Corbitt was by to present his contract for the new pedestals, Stan Book dropped off image files and CV to be posted to the website and I was visited by a representative of a local fine art print group for a possible show at A Small Art Gallery.

My two friends Cathy Cowen and Stan Book will join me for the first show and I’m looking forward to presenting some nice sculptural work from them both.

Hey, more-later.

A Small Art Gallery, 115 East Goodwin Street / Suite D

Prescott’s best kept cultural-and architectural-secret, the Goodwin Courtyard Building enchants. Now there’s another reason why: Tony Reynolds’ ‘white box’ concept atelier opens soon. Reynolds works in sculptural ceramics are pristine, high-concept architectural masterworks. He’s got “an eye on concept” works, showcasing one artist’s body of work versus a smattering from many.

The Small Art Gallery joins the established Vigraha Sacred Art Gallery in Suite E. Inspiring sacred imagery abounds. OH! These are the guys who had the French Graffiti Show last season!

Testing the Gallery out

I have hung some work today in the gallery so I could see how the walls and lighting held the work.

Overall, I think it’s working. Certainly need some 3d stuff on pedestals. Pictures are a bit dark. The gallery is really very bright.  Hey, you’ll have to come down to see for yourself!!
